If you’re wanting to add a softer color to the edges of your card or cut-out, you can always just add a little ink to your dauber and brush the edges.
Just tap your desired ink pad with the dauber a few times. Be sure to dab first onto a scratch piece of paper to remove excess ink. It also helps to have some trash paper underneath so that you don’t have to worry about making a mess all over your crafting area.
You can compare this to how the card would look if you just use the scalloped cutout and layer the paper.
The brushed technique leaves you with a softer edge and a more subtle color transition.
