Annual Catalog Card Swap

I just mailed off my cards for the card swap for the new Stampin’ Up 2019-2020 Annual Catalog! There will be a total of about 75 cards traded in all so I’m really excited to see what everyone has created! We each picked one of the 29 new bundles to feature for each card. (Bundle List)

I created three different cards featuring three different bundles that I fell in love with when I went through the catalog. Below is a sneak peak of what I submitted:

Card #1: Features the Wish for Everything Bundle

The card is made of Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black cardstock. I used the swirls & curls embossing folder to add some texture as well as the stitched rectangle dies. The cat is a punch. The collar is made of gold pearl and clear rhinestone embellishments. The words are cut out of Gorgeous Grape cardstock using the dies in the bundle. The inside of the card features another cat punch and the Halloween sentiment from the featured stamp set.

This set also coordinates with the Well Said stamps and dies to help create cards, scrapbook pages, displays (really anything you can imagine) for just about any occasion. The two sets together cover just about every holiday (major and minor) as well as weddings and baby showers.

Card #2: Features the Woven Heirlooms Bundle

For this card, I actually used the Woven Threads Suite bundle. The nice part about the suite is that it includes the stamp set and dies as well as paper, ribbon and embellishments which all coordinate. It makes putting together a complementary set of cards super easy and less stressful!

The card base is Whisper White. The first layer, frame and inner oval are all Purple Posy which is one of the In Colors for 2019-2021. The paper inside the frame is from the 2019-2021 In Color DSP pack (Terracotta Tile). The inner oval is actually the left over paper from when the outer frame was cut. The sentiment is stamped with Terracotta Tile and Seaside Spray.

Last, but certainly not least…. #3 Royal Peacock Bundle

For this card, again I used the Noble Peacock Suite Bundle as it comes with everything you could possibly desire to create a beautiful card. This is actually a fold/swing card so that the peacock is totally hidden when you first look at the card.

The paper is the Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper, the 2019-2021 In Color DSP (Purple Posy), Purple Posy cardstock and Whisper White cardstock. Outer sentiment is from the stamp set and stamped in Pretty Peacock.

The peacock is stamped in Blueberry Bushel and Pretty Peacock. Blackberry Bliss Stampin blends and Wink of Stella were used to highlight the tail.

The feathers are colored with Stampin Blends markers (Pretty Peacock, Blackberry Bliss, So Saffron) and then cut out using the dies.

Have no fear – there is a peacock swing card tutorial in the works!
